Product Definition & Scoping

Turn an idea into a strong PRD, scope it to what's buildable, and prioritize ruthlessly so the build starts on solid ground.

Demonstrated by: a complete PRD for the capstone product, defended in review.

The Build Workflow

Run the five-component workflow, Active Memory, Living PRD, Reference Files, Guardrails, and Rituals, so the build stays coherent as it grows.

Demonstrated by: a live walkthrough of the workflow inside the candidate's own project.

Prompting & Debugging

Direct an AI coding agent with precision, diagnose why an output went wrong, and recover without burning hours or breaking the codebase.

Demonstrated by: resolving a seeded defect during assessment using the candidate's own process.

Frontend & Design Systems

Build interfaces that follow a coherent brand and style architecture, not one-off screens that drift apart with every session.

Connect a real backend and database, integrate third-party APIs, and handle the data layer that separates demos from products.

Shape the behavior of AI inside a product, persona, rules, and constraints, so it acts predictably for real users, not just in a happy-path demo.

Demonstrated by: documented behavioral architecture and observed behavior under assessor testing.

Deployment & Maintainability

Push the product live, and leave it in a state where it can be maintained, extended, and handed off. Shipping once is easy. Shipping something that keeps working is the standard.

Demonstrated by: a deployed, publicly accessible product and a maintainability review of the project structure.

Certification questions.

Is the certification included with SnapCamp?+

Yes. Every SnapCamp enrollment includes the assessment and one reassessment. The certification is earned, not purchased, so enrollment guarantees you a seat at the assessment, not a pass.

What happens if I don't pass?+

You get domain-level feedback on exactly what fell short, and one included reassessment once you've addressed it. Most candidates who miss do so on one or two domains, not all seven.

Do I need a technical background?+

No. SnapCamp is built for people without an engineering background, and the certification measures whether you can build with AI, not whether you can write code by hand. The standard is the same for everyone.

How is this different from a certificate of completion?+

A certificate of completion says you showed up. This certification says two independent assessors reviewed your shipped product and live working process against seven published competencies, and you met the standard on all of them. Completion is automatic. Certification isn't.

How do employers verify a credential?+

Every credential is issued digitally with a unique verification link. Anyone with the link can confirm the holder's name, the credential, and the issue date in one click. No account required.

Can my company pay through our L&D or training budget?+

We support invoicing and purchase orders, and can provide the program documentation most L&D approvals require: syllabus, competency framework, assessment structure, and outcomes. Book a team call and we'll send the packet.

Does the certification expire?+

The credential doesn't expire, but it is versioned. As the tooling and the standard evolve, we publish new versions of the certification, and your credential states which version you earned. Alumni can reassess against newer versions at a reduced rate.
